A Christian View Of Racial Pride

[THE FOLLOWING IS AN EXCERPT FROM THE TRANSCRIPT OF A LECTURE I GAVE ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 30TH, 2008 IN MINNEAPOLIS, MN.  THE SUBJECT WAS "AN INTRODUCTION TO BLACK SEPARATIST CULTS, SESSION # 6".  IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR.  I AM CURRENTLY TAKING THE TRANSCRIPTS AND PUTTING THEM INTO BOOK FORM.  DURING A QUESTION AND ANSWER PERIOD, I WAS CALLED UPON TO ANSWER A QUESTION THAT MANY WOULD RUN AWAY FROM.  HERE IS MY SMALL, HUMBLE ATTEMPT TO TACKLE THE ISSUE.]

“IS THERE A PROBLEM WITH ME BEING PROUD TO BE BLACK?”

This is great handwriting, by the way!  I will answer that question.  Keep in mind that you’re asking what the secular world would classify as a “white dude“.  I’m going to give you my take as a minister.  Not as a white man.  Not as a black man.  But as a human being.  As a preacher.

Is there a problem with you being proud to be black?  No.  There’s not a problem with that at all.  Should your whole self-esteem and self-image rest on that?  Should your skin color be the dominant thing that makes you who you are?  Should your skin color be the source of your identity?  I would say that this would be pretty dangerous.  And I don’t recommend falling into that way of thinking.

But if you are from a long line of people who achieved something great, like you’d hear someone say “We come from a long line of good hockey players” or “I come from a family that has a lineage which is famous for such and such a thing“, there’s nothing wrong with acknowledging that great people have come before you with whom you share blood.  Grandpa built the aligator pit at the zoo or whatever.  No problem in pointing out that historical fact.

There are times when you can enter into an area where this can be taken too far, however.  It can become dangerous.  Here are those times.

#1  -  When you lean on it (your skin color and your heritage) to the point that your sole basis of self-esteem and your sole identity has to do with this external appearance and this group that you descend from.  If that’s the basis of your self-esteem, then you have no self-esteem.  If that’s the basis of your self-image, then you have no self-image.  What you have is a hollow sham.  And ultimately when the tough times of life come against you, you’re going to be in big trouble.  Most of the people who have this extreme mentality (that who I am is defined by my skin color, it is the source of my pride and my self-worth) end up going really crazy directions in life.  You’re putting too many eggs into the wrong basket.  You’re setting yourself up for a fall.

#2  -  Being proud of being black (this principle can be applied to anyone of any external appearance) has the potential to become unhealthy in another instance as well, specifically when a pride in who you descend from or what you look like ends up producing a superiority complex.  When you enter into a way of thinking which says that, “Everybody who does not share this external appearance of who does not descend from my ancestry or who does not belong to my group of people is ontologically inferior to me“.  You might be thinking that this does not happen.  Oh, yeah.  I’ve seen it a thousand times.  Thinking that the sun rises and sets for you alone can infect the mind of a white person, a black person, or anybody.

And to be honest, there are many instances in which the supplier of that arrogance is a religious leader.  It can be Farrakhan, Hitler, or the Grand Imperial Wizard of the KKK.  Hatred does not discriminate.  It can get to anyone of any ethnicity.  But usually the speeches or the writings of a black separatist cult leader gains an influence over someone’s mind and pushes him or her over the edge, taking them beyond pride and into an area of superiority and hatred.  At that point, it has went too far.  That’s why we’re dealing with the major cults that specifically target black folks in this series.  You need to be on alert so that you are not tricked or conned by either the devil or one of the devil’s ministers into becoming something that many people in this room’s parents and grand parents marched against in a previous generation.  A white hood is not the only clothing an evil racist wears.  Sometimes he wears a bow tie.  Or a leather hat.  Or a pinstripe suit.  Or a beret.  Or a medallion of Africa on it, with Marcus Garvey’s colors across it.  Evil comes in all packages, and Satan packages it in whatever will be the most attractive to the person he is trying to conquer.

Becoming a supermacist with a superiority complex can become dangerous intellectually.  In the name of “I hate racism” and “I think racism is a bad thing that needs to be wiped off the map“, how are you going to respond to it?  By becoming a racist!  In logic, we call that self-refuting.  It’s like saying “I hate crime” and responding to it by committing crimes.  Or like saying “I hate theft” and answering the problem by stealing.  It’s hypocritical and self-defeating to answer a problem with itself.  If racism is such a bad thing and racists are so evil, then why respond to the problem by becoming a racist?  It doesn’t get much dumber than that, folks.  If racism is such a bad thing when a “white guy” is doing it to a “black guy“, then in order to remain consistent we must see racism as a bad thing universally, without regard to who the perpetrator is  -  even if the one doing it is a “black man“.  And even if the one being discriminated against is a “white man“.  If you are thinking straight, then you must be consistent and see racism as bad across the board.  But in the black separatist cults the followers are trained by their masters, prophets, bishops, brother ministers, and so forth to see racism as good, so long as it’s only one group of people (non-whites of any shade) doing it to another group of people (whites).  As long as the racist and the victim of the racism are the right color, it is applauded.  A person who accepts this way of thinking has fallen into a trap of Satan and become a racist.

But in answer to the question at hand, what the secular world would call “Black Pride” or “Black Consciousness” is a good thing.  It’s good to know that America has taken positive things from multiple cultures, be it Italian, Irish, German, or whatever.  This includes black.  The black population of America has brought just as much to the table as any other group.  For you to be aware of and point out to others the fact that black culture made valuable contributions to America in order to make it what it is in the world is totally fine.  I say it should be done, and maybe should even be done more than it currently is.

#3  -  One of the other ways that danger can manifest itself through “Black Pride“, however, os when it is taken to the extreme.  When your “blackness“ in its extreme form conflicts your Christianity, it creates a struggle.  You have to decide.  When my blackness and my Christianity conflict, which one wins?  Which one gets to be the basis of my opinion on a particular subject?  Tragically, I have seen many a case in which a young brother or sister will encounter this very stuggle in their own lives, and his or her so-called “blackness” will win out.  He or she will choose an element of black culture that is clearly in contradiction with Scripture.  The excuse that will be provided is usually along the lines of “Hey, this is my people” or “This is my culture“.  To abandon what God who created the universe has said about a particular subject based on something as silly as “my culture” is a little on the lame side.  It leans a little in the direction of pathetic.

So you’ve got to ask yourself the hard questions.  If your Christianity and your Black Pride contradict one another, do you have the courage to speak the truth about this aspect of what the secular world would call “black culture“?  Do you have the guts to choose the word of God over the word of man?  Do you have the strength to be a leader and not a follower?

I have had to ask my own self similar hard questions down through the years.  The Roman Catholicism, the Celtic paganism, and other such things that my Irish family background have in them clearly contradict Christianity.  I never set Jesus aside for a leprechaun.  I never set the cross aside for a four-leaf clover.  I never tried witchcraft, superstition, or magic instead of the power of God’s Spirit.  I decided that, even though it was part of my family’s history and heritage, it was still false according to the word of God.  I had to shed off the family history of Popery, Maryolatry, saint statue worship, and wafer worship that Catholicism had trapped my ancestors in.  Jesus Christ is the only way to have a living relationship with God.  None of this other stuff is necessary.  In fact, much of it is very dangerous to a true understanding of the true Christian faith.

Do you worship your culture to the point that you’re willing to allow it to interfere with your Christianity?  Are the customs of your great-great-grandparents chains keeping you in slavery to non-Christian ways of thinking and living?  I know that these are hard questions, folks.  They are tough to wrestle with, especially in today’s multi-culturalist world in which we are told that the fact that our ancestors made a hut in the desert out of rat and bird poop  with tools made out of sharpened rocks or something is THEE reason for us to believe that we are worth anything today in 2008.  Abandoning the position that your forefathers stood for is viewed almost as a crime against your own family.  You are seen as a traitor.

There is a lot of pressure to stay in the box that previous generations have created for you.  I have friends who won’t leave their American Indian paganism or their Eastern Occultic religions for this very reason.  The feelings of guilt and obligation keep them held prisoner to a bankrupt, useless, and heathen non-Christian religion and culture.

Do you have such feelings inside of you holding you back from accepting Jesus?  Was grandpa a Muslim, daddy a Muslim, and now you feel that considering anything else might be like spitting on them?

Do you have feelings inside of you that stunt your spiritual growth?  Are you continually choosing ignorance, superstition, and paganism over Jesus Christ simply because of the position of your family and your community going back several generations?

When you take on Black Pride in its most radical and extreme forms, you open yourself up to systems of belief, life practice, and ways of thinking that will keep both your soul and your intellect trapped in the dark ages.  You will be constantly called upon to take stands on issues that are non-Christian.  And sometimes you will be pressured to hold to positions that are even anti-Christian, as well as anti-American.  Peer pressure in these circles is very strong.  If you do not conform to the opinions of the movement on all issues, you risk being labeled as an Uncle Tom, a house nigger, or worse.

Do you have the courage to be willing to be called these names and more for the name and honor of Jesus Christ?  Do you have the guts to stand for truth  -  even if it means standing alone?  Even if it means standing against people that you love and respect?  Even if it means people turning on you?

While Paul was writing letters to the churches, he would refer to the Jews as his “brothers“ and “of my own race“ [ROMANS 9:3].  It is okay to acknowledge the brotherhood of the people with whom you share a common ancestry.  But as a Christian you ought to have a broader perspective on what the secular world would call “race relations” than non-Christian people.  Remember that because of Adam all human beings without regard to external appearance or geographical location have a common ancestry.  Thus, we are all brothers and sisters.

Atheists deny Adam’s literal historical existence.  So on what basis do they preach racial integration, unity, and equality?  They have no basis.  They just sing “We Are The World“, light a candle, hold hands, and hug a tree.  This is why they never convince anybody, even themselves.  The human mind and the human heart are more thirsty than that.  It takes more to satisfy us.

Christianity teaches that all human beings are brothers and sisters.  And I believe with everything that I have within me that it is the only world and life view which gives you a basis for pronouncing the man sitting next to you your brother.  He may be Hispanic or Latino, or Mexican, or whatever.  He’s your brother.  He may be Chinese or Asian.  He’s your brother.    He may be black.  He’s your brother.  He may be white.  He’s your brother.  He may be blue, a Smurf.  He’s your brother.  The only philosophical or belief system out there that leads you to say that without either seriously contradicting yourself of flat-out lying (like the secular diversity / tolerance movements and things) is evangelical protestant Christianity.  When my view of you have been radically transformed so that I no longer look at you and see a racial distinction between you and me.

Don’t get me wrong now.  I’m not talking about producing a false blindness.  I’d see your external appearance.  I’ll see that your skin is black in the same way that you can observe my hair being light brown, or that I have Nikes on.  Refusing to make an ontological racial distinction is not the same thing as ignoring someone’s physical description.

The Star Tribune has no business saying, “The bank was robbed by a male approx. 235 lbs.” and leaving out his skin color for fear of being labeled as racist.  Tell the whole truth.  Show the mug shot.  Don’t tell me to look for a 235 lb. man.  That does not exactly narrow it down.

And to my black brothers or sisters in here, which is everybody pretty much except me, don’t be offended when the news points out what a robber or whatever looks like.  The news ain’t saying it was you personally.  When they say it was a white man in his early 30’s, I don’t fly off the handle and get offended.  Do you know why?  Because I know that I personally did not do it.  You need to take the same kind of comfort in the knowledge of the fact that the article or the report is not about you.  It is about the criminal.  He needs to be caught before he hurts someone else in the community.  But he is not going to be caught if the public does not know the full physical description of what he looks like.

But people think that ignoring someone’s outward appearance is the same as not being racist.  And observing outward appearance is on the same level as being racist.  This is stupid and irrational.

I have encountered many a white liberal who has said some lie along the lines of, “I didn’t even pay attention to the person’s appearance.”.  Yes you did, idiot.  How many of you have heard them say something like this?  They think that acknowleding that a person has red hair, a Bulls sweater, or black skin is somehow discriminatory.  No.  It’s called paying attention to the person you are talking to.  Being observant.  They think that pretending to be non-observant is going to win them some brownie points with the black community or something.  Lame, lame, lame.

Myself and my wife were talking to a white liberal homosexual male.  Somehow or another the idea that she (my wife) was black came up.  Do you know what his response was to the very mention of a non-white physical description?  I kid you not.  Are you ready?  He said to her, “I didn’t even notice that you were black until you told me just now.“  Really?  You weren’t looking her in the face?  Jackass!

The world is full of people like this.  They are so fake that it boggles the mind.  I cannot stand people like this.  They are so tough to deal with, because they live in a fantasy fake world.  They are so stupid that they cannot see how transparent this behavior and speech is to all.  Who do they think that they are kidding?  The only one that they fool are themselves.

The white liberal crap that you see and hear in the secular workplace, at the diversity seminars, in the schools, on the TV, in the secular universities, on MSNBC, that is all fake!  Do you hear me?  Fake!  Liars.  A sham.

Reciting a bunch of one-liners, soundbites, slogans, and catch-phrases doesn’t change people’s hearts.  The hippee drug addict message of the 1960’s doesn’t produce brotherhood among the human race.  Brotherhood among the human race is produced by The Gospel!

The Gospel produces an attitude of, “Hey!  This guy sitting next to me is a human being who has been made in the image and likeness of the God I love  -  the God who saved me.  Externally, do we look a little bit different?  Yeah.  I’d be foolish and a liar to say that I did not notice it.  But do you know what?  Those external differences are no different than me having a 6th toe, or you having a belly button that is an outie, or my neighbor having a longer middle finger, or whatever.  That is how insignificant our difference in skin color actually is.

Christianity is the only belief system or way of thinking that will revolutionize your mind in this way.  It is the only way of seeing the world that will wake you up to the reality of humankind’s unity and equality.  Everything else will make you sleep on this beautiful truth, and you’ll either end up missing it or (even worse) you’ll end up being taught the polar opposite by a crooked cult leader or community activist / race hustler.

The black separatist cults that we are confronting in this series are a prime example of someone seeking to take us away from the truth about humankind’s unity and equality.  They want separatism and supremacy.  Their leaders crack me up.  They are idiots who make me laugh when they vomit out their tired old saying, “I’m trying to wake black people up!“.  Then why are you putting them to sleep?  Dummy.

Whenever you hear the phrase, “I’m trying to wake up the black community” or “Joe Blow on the corner is trying to wake up the black community” or “I’m following Jimmy X from around the way because he’s trying to wake up the black community” or ”Tommy Shabazz who works at McDonald’s is trying to wake black folks up“, let that phrase or others like it be forever etched into your mind as a red flag phrase.  The moment that you hear it, an alarm inside of you should be sounding an alarm which puts you on high alert and vigilant cult watch.  If you’re not at that place in your spiritual discernment yet, get there as quickly as you can.  Time is not on your side in these evil days, brothers and sisters.  The wolves are moving in quickly, devouring sheep daily.  You and your family are their desired prey.

What they really need to do is admit that in the name of “I’m waking black people up“, they’re actually putting them to sleep.  How?  By changing they way that black folks think and turning them into blind, unquestioning robots who are hateful anti-white racists.  But you’ll never hear the black separatist / supremacist cult leader confess this because the cash cow would be interferred with.  Their power over people’s lives and over the community would disappear.  And they can’t have that.

Christianity will set you free from their enslavement.  It will wake you up in the true sense of the phrase, and allow you to see the man sitting next to you for who he really is  -  your brother.

The true message that will awaken the black community is the message of the cross.  Can you imagine this neighborhood breaking out into a huge revival?  I get excited just thinking about it.

Anyway, that is just the preacher in me.  I don’t know when to shut up once I start flowing.  And if you ask a question, sometimes you have to tolerate a long-winded answer.  Consider your question the red cape, and consider me the bull.  You just got the horns.  But I hope something was said that helps you along your journey.

FLASHBACK TO 2002: SHANLEY ON THE IRAQ WAR BEFORE IT BECAME A REALITY

Taken from an audio cassette tape originally recorded before a live audience in 2002.  This Q&A can be seen in its entirety in the book, “ISLAM” by Brian James Shanley:

QUESTION FROM AUDIENCE:  “Is it true that we are going to invade Iraq?  What do you think about that?”

SHANLEY:  “Well, at this point it is just a rumor.  And I hope it stays that way.  Everyone in here is too young to remember, but when I was in junior high we had a war with Iraq.  We drove Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait.  That was back in 1991 and 92, I think.  The 1st George Bush was president at the time.  If we had chased him back to Iraq and taken him out back then, the world would be a different place today.  But we did not.  The Clinton administration inherited having to deal with Hussein from George H.W. Bush who was president during Desert Shield, Desert Storm, whatever you want to call it.  Then George W. Bush inherited it from Clinton.  Hussein is nuts.  I am not denying it.  And every president since the Iraq war when I was young has talked about over-throwing Hussein.  But today, I am hoping that rumor stays a rumor and never becomes reality.  Our military could topple him in a matter of 60 days tops.  We could make Iraq a colony of the U.S.  But I have a few problems with that.  First of all, Iraq did not have anything to do with the attack of September 11th.  Using the attack as a reason to finally invade them would be like responding to Japan bombing Pearl Harbor by saying, ‘Okay.  Now let’s avenge this thing!  Let’s invade Spain!’.  Invading a country that was not involved will be a distraction from the task at hand.  We invaded Afghanistan this last October.  We don’t hear about it too much anymore.  Why not?  We cannot let that become a forgotten war like Korea.  Nor can we ignore that Iran, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia are the countries that grow, train, and harbor the terrorists who plan offensives against American interests.  Invading Iraq makes no sense.  But also there is the question of how it will go in post-Saddam Iraq.  We can invade and conquer the place in 60 days, like I said.  But then what?  How long would we stay?  At what point would we pass the duty off to some new kind of free post-Saddam Iraqi government?  Or would we become their permanent occupying police?  Set up a military base?  Because I’ll tell you what.  If I am a Muslim in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Indonesia, or wherever  -  and I found out that it just became easier to kill some Americans because they have come geographically closer to me  -  I am going to Iraq for the fun and sport of it.  Even if I am not a part of the Iraq army, I am going as a representative of whatever death group or terrorist organization I am a part of.  Killing an American soldier is like a badge of honor in these countries.  So while we figure out what to do with the country we have conquered, how to divide it up or whatever we do with it, our troops will become the occupying police responsible for keeping the peace on the streets during that process.  But they will be at extreme risk.  You think the streets of Detroit are rough?  You ain’t seen nothing yet.  Iraq is not America.  There is no Pacific Ocean to the West of it.  There is no Atlantic Ocean to the East of it.  It is surrounded by countries, most of which hate us and would love to have a crack at killing some of us.  Without a serious plan in place prior to going in, it could become disastrous.  I fear that people talking about invading Iraq grossly underestimate what we would be up against, not just Iraqi soldiers defending their home but also Muslim soldiers wanting a piece of the action.  Bush is up for re-election in 2004.  American people generally do not vote to change presidents in the middle of a war, so this could be a really good way to lock up his re-election bid if he decides to go for 4 more years.  The news has talk of Iraq and Saddam being a threat.  This is true.  The news has talk of Iraq having played a role in the attacks of Septermber 11th.  This is not true.  Inventing a war, manufacturing a reason to invade a country  -  I am not on board with it.  I am going to sound like a crazy lone nut, but I feel that we should invade Pakistan or Iran in order to find our enemies.  Maybe Saudi Arabia.  But Iraq is a distraction.  And I feel to some degree that the current administration is pulling the wool over the people’s eyes.  But I am in the minority on that one.  Who knows?  Time will tell the story.  But in answer to your question, apart from the removal from power of Saddam Hussein, it is hard for me to see much good coming out of a 2nd war with Iraq.  It makes no sense to me and I hope that the talk begins to shift another direction as soon as possible.”

MINNESOTA 2008 SENATORIAL ELECTION – NORM COLEMAN vs. AL FRANKEN

Election night was 2 weeks ago. The results were that Norm Coleman was the winner. The margin was small, but nonetheless the winner was declared.

Here we are, half a month removed. And the people of Minnesota still have no security about who their representative in the Senate will be. Why? Because Franken will not concede. In order to keep his own agenda and his own career moving, he is willing to put the people of Minnesota through countless recounts, and recounting of the recounts. He will not stop until he gets the result he wants. Soon he will be filing lawsuits.

If you were running for office and the ballots demonstrated that the people had elected the other guy, would you not concede? Would you not have the mentality of, “Oh, well. I did my best. It is time to move on. Maybe I can try again down the road.”? For the sake of the people who have to go through this, would you not put your own pride aside?

But what if your motive for running has nothing to do with the best interest of the state? What if you could not care any less about the people? Then you will drag it out. You will demand endless recounts. You will file lawsuits. You will pout and cry like a baby who has just been told no by their parents and cannot handle it. This is Al Franken.

The fact that he got this many votes at all makes me embarrassed to be from Minnesota. But if we elected a wrestler for governor in 1998, and then sent a Nation of Islam member to swear in on a Qur’an to the House of Representatives, then I guess there are no boundaries here. We would elect Adolf Hitler or Bozo the Clown if they were running on a Democratic ticket.

But when the rubber hits the road, despite all of the voter fraud of the fake names, the robots who let the TV news dictate to them who they should vote for, the registered dead folks, the illegal immigrants, and all of these things that were trying to get Democrats into their various offices – if you have all of that going for you and yet you still did not win, it is time to throw in the towel.

Al Franken says he cares about Minnesota. He says he is trying for the best interests of the people who live and work here. Then don’t just SAY it. PROVE it. Do the honorable thing and concede. Let the people have the freedom to speak without manipulating the election. And let the people have the security of knowing who their Senator will be. Because the not knowing is worse than the knowing, even if in knowing you know someone is going into office that you did not support – atleast you know who it is. There is no question mark. You can move on to the “acceptance” stage of things.

If, because of the closeness of the race, a mandatory recount is the law, fine. But after it is over Franken needs to accept it, and stop trying to get into the Senate through these tactics. It is tough enough to take a Saturday Night Live comedian seriously as a Senatorial candidate, without all of this other crap being added to the pile.

We call on Franken to shake the hands of the winner, and then allow both the Senator and the people of Minnesota to move on with the job of trying to fix the mess our country is in, and the bigger mess we seem to be headed into. If the recount happens and he does not win, and he complains even more, the people of Minnesota must speak out against him. After this fool returns to his lights, his cameras, and his Hollywood action, we all still have to live and work here.

B.H.O. Wins White House

http://english.aljazeera.net/news/americas/2008/11/20081155293464248.html

In 2004, the media as well as Michael Moore (through the instrument of the propaganda piece “Farenheit 911″) crammed John Kerry down our throats.  But in the end, the people proved that they would not be fooled by this, and they made a statement that they would not be told what they should believe or how they would vote.  They were intelligent.  They were independent.  They were non-robots.  They re-elected George W. Bush.

Last night’s election demonstrated, however, that it only took 4 years for all of that to change.  It showed a new America  -  one in which the news, the entertainment industry, the public school system, and the secular universities have taken away people’s rights to independent thought by dictating to them who to vote for.  4 years ago they tried it, but the American people rejected the attempt.  This year, they have swallowed it up.

And the result?  We have put a radical straight out of the 1960’s into the White House.  Both he and his 1st Lady have used classic Marxist and Socialist terminology in defining his program for our country.

When a conservative gets into the White House, you often see liberals in full rebellion.  Half-naked activists throwing piles of manure and breaking windows is how they like to show their displeasure.  No respect for the office, unless one of their own has it.

I will not take their path.  I think that the wrong choice was made.  I think people fell for a grand hustle.  But I will not sit there like so many liberals did after the 2000 election and say, “Atleast we can get him impeached”.  I am going to show respect to the office.  I am going to respect the Commander-In-Chief.  I am going to accept that this was part of God working out His system in human history, and I will watch it all play out.  He is sovereign.

But many of the different and conflicting groups of people who helped Baraq get into the White House are already coming in to collect on the marker.  And if he cannot pay it back, it will be dark times for us as a nation.

Click on the link above and see the Al-Jezeera article.  The international community is already testing Baraq by talking tough and making demands.  Until he demonstrates different, they will view him as an appeaser to terrorism.

I am not of the opinion that he deserves to be where he is, or that the reasons for which he won were just.  He will have to show me something between now and 2012 if he wants my vote for re-election.

But the fact that he is there, I have no choice.  I am bound by my loyalty to my country to support him.

The country has been influenced by people with special interests to elect someone who does not have a Western or a Capitalist mentality.  This is a day I never thought I would see, where something as sacred as an election could be manipulated.

For the first time in my adult life, I am truly afraid for the future of my country.

Decision 2008: No Longer “Undecided”

In January 2008, I was asked who I am backing in the 2008 U.S. Presidential Election.  10 months and hundreds of emails later about the same thing, I no longer answer by saying, “Still undecided“.  Effective today, I now know.  Before I blurt out the name, let me take you along a condensed version of the journey of how I arrived at this conclusion.

I turned 18 in 1994.  That year, it was not a Presidential election year.  It was a year where there were Senate seats and such up for grabs.  It was a governor election year as well.  I voted.  I do not remember who ran for what office, or who I voted for.  But I just knew that my right to vote had been purchased on battlefields and with blood.  So I felt like I owed it to previous generations who sacrificed for me to do so.  Pretty deep for an 18-year-old, huh?  And pretty nerdy, if you ask some of my pals at that time.

In 1996, we had Clinton vs. Dole vs. Perot.  I had decided by July.  (Voted for Perot.)

In 2000, we had George W. Bush vs. Gore vs. Lieberman.  I was decided by September.  (Voted Bush)

In 2004, we had George W. Bush vs. John Kerry.  I was decided by late September.  (Voted Bush)

In 2008, we have John McCain vs. Baraq Obama.  I was undecided until very recently.  I have never allowed October to come and still be undecided about who I am going to vote for.  This is the 1st time.

But I have never been faced with two candidates that are so weak before.  In a nation of 300 million, these are the best two we can come up with?  It is like being at a fork in the road and, if I go right I am doomed, and if I go left I am also doomed.  There is no real choice here.

You have Baraq Hussein Obama who, although I love his stance about possibly going into Pakistan militarily with or without Pakistan’s blessing in order to hunt down terrorists, is an inexperienced globalist, one-world multi-culturalist who has been created by the media and forced down our throats.  In a very Hitler-like way, the media, the entertainment industry, the public educational system, etc. have tag-teamed to make sure that you are told over and over again that he is the obvious and only real choice.  They have removed free and independent thought from the people, and have dictated to the people what they should and should not believe.  We are being told who to vote for.  And that is not American.  That the corporations and the powers that be are willing to annoint him king, and that the masses like programmed trained dogs are shouting “Yes I Can!” and “Change!” and all of his catch-phrases is scary.  Even in this age of education and technology, people are still really stupid and fall for the same basic things that others have down through the centuries.

I see that he has the gay agenda, radical black nationalists, abortion rights advocacy groups, and Muslim terrorists all in his pockets.  When all of these special interest groups get him into office, he is going to owe these people many favors.  And they WILL come around to collect.  They will pull him in different and contradictory directions.  He will not be able to please them all.  It will reduce the office of the President to a public relations and communications specialist, responsible for furthering the agendas and programs of ultra-left-wing groups.  And it will be a sad and gross mis-use of a sacred office.

The same rich white suburbanites who walk around trying to sound hip by saying, “I have black friends” now want to be able to walk around and brag “I voted for Baraq Obama“.  The phrase “I voted for Baraq Obama” will become the “I have black friends” of the early 21st century.  It will be the badge and the trophy that is proudly displayed by the children of the hippy drug addicts who protested Vietnam and spit on soldiers, who have been indoctrinated with utopian one-world multi-culturalist ideas and visions.  In order to show how cutting-edge they are with what is current, and to show how fashionably non-racist they are, they can tell everybody that Baraq is president because they made it so.  It will be a great act which will gain them many pats on the back from friends and neighbors of like thinking.

Then you have John McCain who is not a conservative in the classic sense of the word.  He calls himself a “maverick“.  This is horse-manure, because it is a way of dressing up his biggest weakness and trying to spin it into a positive.  It’s almost an insult to me that he expects me to not see what he does.

He goes against what he has promised his voters that he is in favor of and “reaches across party lines” and “works with others to get things done“.  Why is it that whenever a politician brags about “reaching across party lines“, it is a conservative?  Why don’t you ever hear a liberal bragging about how they “reached across party lines“?  Because liberals will not compromise their message.  They want to go all they way.  Communism or bust.  New World Order or die trying.  They also know that to lean too far towards the center will alienate the very base that got them where they are now.

Why does McCain not grasp this basic concept?  Why does a segment of conservatism think it is a virtue to lay aside the principles that you promised your supporters you held to in order to meet the opposition half-way?  What is gained by this?  Is not much more lost?  Why do some see this kind of compromise as noble?  It is not!

Why does the definition of “working with others” always mean how much of conservatism the conservative is willing to give up in order to appease the demands of liberals?  And what idiots think this is a positive trait?  It is a negative trait, because it smells of weakness as well as instability.  And that is what comes to mind when I think of John McCain  -  those two words  -  weakness and instability.

Is he (McCain) the lesser of two evils?  Yes, he is.  In order to make sure that America still stands and is still in power, conservatives will rush to vote for him in order to prevent Baraq from winning the office.

I have struggled with this election.  Basically with McCain we will have a strong military, but a weak economy.  With Baraq we will have a strong economy, but a weak military.  Both are weak on immigration.  Both are weak on defending the rights of the unborn as well as the true definition of family (Marriage  =  1 man + 1 woman).

So it comes down to national security vs. economical security.  It is like trying to decide whether we want to buy food or pay the rent, because we do not have the resources to do both.  Yet both are essential to basic survival.  If we choose national security, it will be at the expense of our economy.  If we choose economical security (Baraq), the terrorists will smell weakness and will feel free to move into “attack” mode, like they did all throughout the Clinton years, culminating in the big one in 2001.  It will be at the expense of our national security.

After wrestling with this, I have come down to a decision.  I have to throw both parties into the trash can.  Neither of them is worthy of the vote or the support of the American people.  It is official that my vote will go to Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party.

The only wasted vote is a vote in which you do not vote your conscience.  Many conservatives will vote this Nov. 4th for John McCain and feel guilty for doing so.  But they will only do so because they feel that they do not have an alternative.  They want to defeat Baraq at all cost, even if it means voting for someone who pretends to be one of them but is not.  So they will vote for McCain as he seemingly has a real shot at beating Baraq, whereas others do not.  All a 3rd party vote will do is make a statement, many say.

I will sleep like a baby.  I may not have voted for someone who, from a worldly perspective, has a realistic chance of winning.  But I will be a leader as opposed to a follower, independent as opposed to being led along by the crowd and the news.  And I will be voting for the person who most closely represents all that made America rise to greatness.  And I will be voting for the person who I feel is the best candidate for the job.  And that to me is worth more than anything else.

In summary, Chuck Baldwin.  www.baldwin08.com

The Constitution Party is on the rise.  www.constitutionparty.org

Give this issue some serious prayer and consideration.  Vote your conscience, regardless of party.  Make a statement.

Stop fooling yourself.  McCain is not going to win.  He seems like a really decent human being as well as a patriot.  But it has already been decided by the media.  He is going to lose, and lose in a landslide.  This one is looking quite ugly.  They will make sure of it.

He is trailing in the specific polls that they decide to report, in some places by 6 points and in others by 10 points.  The election is just around the corner.

When someone is losing by double digits with this little time left, the game is over.  So a vote for McCain is just as much of a wasted vote as voting for a 3rd party candidate, in my observation based on the evidence.

McCain winning the Republican nomination was, in many people’s opinions, the Republican party’s way of “throwing” the election.  Part of a long-term strategy for the 2012 campaign.  I don’t know about all of that.  But I do know that McCain’s stances on multiple issues are not conservative stands.

What will feel worse:  Voting for the eventual loser who you didn’t even like in the first place, but felt forced into it because you had no other choice?  Or voting for the eventual loser who you did like, and knowing that you made a stand and spoke your mind?

But this is the answer to the many, many, many emails I get regarding who I am voting for.  I have just decided.  Chuck Baldwin’s the man that has earned my vote in 2008.

ELECTING BARAQ WOULD DESTROY ELIJAH

ELECTING BARAQ WOULD DESTROY ELIJAH

By:  Brian James Shanley

As we all know, 2008 is an election year.  And there is a man, Baraq Hussein Obama, who is seeking to gain the Democratic nomination.  He is “black”.  He has really decent odds of getting this nomination.

If he did gain the nomination, he would be one of only two candidates that have a realistic chance of winning the presidency.  If he did somehow win office, there are things about him that are quite scary.  And none of them have to do with his skin color, outward appearance, or who he descends from.

He would sit down and negotiate with terrorists, giving off the impression that we are weak and appeasing.  He would pull out of Iraq before the job is completed there, giving the rest of the world the idea that we have lost our motivation and our attention span.  He is soft on Islam.  He is soft on homosexuality.  He feels that a woman’s right to absolute bodily autonomy outweighs an unborn human being’s right to life.  He would like to socialize health care.  His views on the economy and government are to raise taxes and make more ways for the nanny state to be in your daily life.  The list goes on and on of reasons why many Americans would NOT be happy with him becoming president.

I am in no way endorsing him.  He will not get my vote.  But I would like to propose one “POSITIVE” that would come out of him getting into office.

What?  A “POSITIVE” of Baraq Hussein Obama becoming President of the United States?  Kill Shanley now.

Just hear me out for a second and you will see where I am going with this.   Everybody knows that all of my time and money has lately been sunk into a textbook about “NATION OF ISLAM ESCHATOLOGY”, right?  It will be my “TRINITY:  EVIDENCE & ISSUES”.  It will be my magnum opus.  But it is years away.

The research that I need to do is a monster. In my research a month back, I found something quite interesting.  Before I reveal it, I need to quote a Bible verse:

“You may say in your heart, ‘How will we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’  When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken.  The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.”

[DEUTERONOMY 18:21 + 22]

We are told that we can tell “the word which the LORD has not spoken”.  In other words, when a person has taken for themselves the office of “prophet”, they are literally claiming to be the mouthpiece of God.  They are claiming to be revealing to humankind what God is trying to say to them.   But the test as to whether their claims of prophethood are true are false have an objective testing method.

When the professing prophet puts forth statements about the future, and they intend for these statements to be understood as the word of God, those statements must “come about or come true”.  A true prophet of the True God will never miss.   This is how we know that the Watchtower, Joseph Smith, etc. are false.  Because they spoke statements about the future that failed to take place.

And when someone claiming to be a prophet says something that “does not come about or come true”, they are a fraud.  The prediction they made “is the thing which the LORD has not spoken”.

What is to be our reaction to false prophets who try to predict future events in the name of God, yet miss?  We “shall not be afraid of him”.  We are not to listen to, believe in, or follow that person.  We are not to buy their books, their CD’s, or their tapes.  We are to treat them as a discredited person, and reject all that they say in the name of God.  They are finished and cut off in our eyes.

Why is this important?  What does this have to do with the 2008 election?  What does this have to do with the Nation of Islam?  Check out the quote below:

“As long as the stars and stripes are the National Flag of this country, I say to you, all that goes into the White House, as Presidents of this country, will be white.”

This is a direct quote from Elijah Muhammad.  He was the leader of the Nation of Islam after the disappearance of Wallie Dodd Ford in 1934 up until his death in 1975.

People who believe the message of the Nation of Islam regard Elijah Muhammad as a prophet.  They believe that his words and his writings are the words of Allah.  They called him the “Last and Greatest Messenger Of Allah”.

BLOOD BATH:  THE TRUE TEACHING OF MALCOLM X, SELDOM TOLD”, by Elijah Muhammad, Inside Cover,

Secretarius M.E.M.P.S. (Messenger Elijah Muhammad Propagation Society)  1965

Here he is, in 1965, functioning as a prophet.  He is making a prophetic utterance about the future of America.  What is significant about the year 1965 in Nation of Islam history?  In February of that year is when Malcolm X was assassinated!  They killed him because he was exposing things to the public that they wanted kept private.  This is why the speech is entitled “Blood Bath:  The True Teaching of Malcolm X”.  The speech basically says that Malcolm preached violence and ended up getting the fruits of what he preached.  It is meant to get people who were followers of Malcolm back under Elijah once again, and to re-unify the Nation of Islam under one umbrella. Here Elijah says that all future Presidents of the United States will be white, for as long as America is allowed to stay in power as a nation.

Following the standard given in Deuteronomy 18, this means that Elijah Muhammad’s credibility as a prophet is on the hook.  The election of even one person who is non-white to the office of President is enough to demonstrate clearly that he is not a messenger of God.

This means that those who seek to obey the pre-existent words of God that were in print for thousands of years before Elijah Muhammad ever came onto the scene MUST then reject him as a false prophet for having put forth a prediction that failed to come true.  He would be demonstrated at that point as a fraud.  He would have failed to live up to the standards set by the very God he professes to be a prophet of.

So as you can see, if Baraq gets elected, the Nation of Islam is done for.  It is discredited as a religion.

When I show followers of other false prophets similar things which clearly demonstrate their prophet to be false, they often argue back, “Well, he was not operating as a prophet at the time he said it”.  And I can see their point.  If the historical books of the Mormon Church recorded Joseph Smith coming out of the bathroom saying, “Whoa, no one can go in there again!” and someone does, he is not a false prophet based on that.  Why not?  Because someone coming out of the bathroom is not addressing a congregation.  They are not professing that they are a prophet at that moment.

So if Elijah Muhammad said, “It looks like rain” privately to a friend, and then it stayed sunny and never rained, would this be a nail in the coffin?  No.  Because a statement that is not claiming to be the words of God cannot be used to judge a prophet.

So if a Nation of Islam follower were to use this defense of their prophet, I have to prepare you to give a proper response to it.  That defense is not valid in this instance.

He is not coming out of the bathroom.  He is not on the sidewalk.  When he made this statement, it just so happened to be in the midst of the “Savior’s Day 1965” speech!  Seconds before he took the microphone, his son Wallace (named after Fard) introduces him with the following words:

“But at this time, it awards me great pleasure to bring back to the microphone, Almighty God’s Messenger, your Leader, Teacher and Guide and mine, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad.”

BLOOD BATH:  THE TRUE TEACHING OF MALCOLM X, SELDOM TOLD”, by Elijah Muhammad, Page 18,

They view him as “Almighty God’s Messenger”.  He was addressing a congregation of people during a speech that is an annual celebration of the fact that he is the savior of “black” people in America.

So one day when you pull this prophecy out and a Nation of Islam says, “Well, he was not functioning as a prophet 24 hours a day.  He may have been making this statement in passing”, now you know the truth.

So as we can see, if Baraq Hussein Obama wins the 2008 presidential election in the United States of America, our nation will not be the only one in trouble.  The Nation of Islam will be demolished.
